About Abacus Cleaning Services

Mark Jubb first started working in the carpet & upholstery cleaning industry in January 1985 when he joined a well-established company in Swindon. Whilst with this company he undertook both on-the-job learning and also attended many industry training courses, gradually building up his knowledge and experience regarding all aspects of cleaning carpets, rugs and upholstery.

After several years on-site experience, he took over the day to day running of the business and continued in that role until the company was taken over in 2003. It was at this point that he decided to return to a hands-on role, providing a quality personal carpet & upholstery cleaning service to customers in Swindon and the surrounding areas across Wiltshire, Gloucestershire and Oxfordshire. 

Although he had continued to attend various training courses whilst managing the previous business, upon establishing Abacus Cleaning in December 2003, he arranged to retake the NCCA Carpet & Upholstery cleaning, Spot & Stain Removal, Hard Floor Cleaning and Health & Safety courses.   He has since continued to attend various industry organised training courses to continually keep up-to-date with new products, methods and equipment, to be able to offer his customers the best available service.

In recent years many customers have asked if we can provide the same sort of service to maintain their hard floors, whether they be Porcelain or Ceramic Tiles, Slate, Limestone, Travertine, Vinyl or Marmoleum.  We have therefore invested in further training and specialised equipment to be able to provide this service.
